Literatus Academy ("we", "us") runs IELTS, PTE and Spoken English coaching and study-visa filing from SCO-100, Sector-6, Karnal, Haryana 132001. This page explains what personal details we collect through literatusacademy.com, why we collect them, who helps us handle them, how long we keep them, and how you can ask us to see, correct or delete them.
In short
- When you send an enquiry, we use your name, phone number and what you asked about only to reply to your enquiry.
- We do not sell your details or give them to other institutes or agents.
- We delete enquiries 24 months after our last contact with you, or sooner if you ask.

1. What we collect
When you fill in an enquiry form
- Your name and mobile number, so we can call or WhatsApp you.
- What you are interested in (for example IELTS, PTE, Spoken English or a study-visa profile check), so the right person replies.
- On the contact page only: your email address and your message.
- The date and time you sent it, and which form you used.
Our server also sees your device's internet (IP) address when you send a form. We use it for a short time to block spam and repeated submissions; it is not saved with your enquiry.
When you WhatsApp or call us
If you tap a WhatsApp or call button, the conversation happens in WhatsApp or on the phone, not on this website. We see your phone number and anything you send us, and use it only to answer you. WhatsApp is run by Meta under its own privacy policy.
When you browse the website
We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they read, roughly where they are (city level), what kind of device and browser they use, how they found us, and whether they sent an enquiry or tapped a WhatsApp or call button. This tells us which pages are useful. It does not tell us your name or phone number.
We do not ask for passport, academic or financial documents through this website. If you join a course or use our study-visa service, we will tell you at that time what documents we need and why.
2. Why we use your details
- To call, WhatsApp or email you about the course or service you asked about, and to book a free demo class or profile check if you want one.
- To keep a record of enquiries so we don't contact you twice or lose your request.
- To protect our forms from spam and misuse.
- To understand which pages and adverts help people find us, so we can improve them.
We don't send you general marketing messages unless you ask for them (for example by tapping "Get WhatsApp updates"). You can tell us to stop at any time.
3. Your consent
By sending an enquiry, you agree to us using your details for the purposes above. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing info@literatusacademy.com or telling us on WhatsApp or phone. We will then stop contacting you and delete your enquiry, unless the law requires us to keep something. Withdrawing consent does not undo what we did with your details before you withdrew it.
4. Who helps us handle your details
We use a few trusted service providers to run this website. They handle your details only on our behalf and for these purposes:
- Hetzner hosts our website and its database on a server in a data centre in Germany.
- Zoho Mail delivers enquiry notifications to our office email.
- Google provides Google Analytics, the "I'm not a robot" check (reCAPTCHA), the map on our contact page and the website's fonts.
- Cloudflare (cdnjs) delivers some of the website's code to your browser.
- Meta runs WhatsApp.
Because some of these providers store data outside India, your details may be processed abroad, as Indian law allows. We do not sell or rent your details, and we do not share your enquiry with universities, other institutes or agents unless you ask us to. We will share details with authorities only when the law requires it.
5. Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The website still works without analytics cookies.
6. How long we keep your details
- Enquiries (in our database and office email): deleted 24 months after our last contact with you, or sooner if you ask.
- Google Analytics data: kept by Google for up to 14 months.
- Backup copies of the database, kept so we can recover from a fault: deleted within 3 months.
7. How we protect your details
The website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Only authorised academy staff can see enquiries, using password-protected logins. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects your details, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what details we hold about you and how we use them;
- correct, complete or update your details;
- delete your details;
- stop contacting you (withdraw consent);
- let someone you name act for you if you die or cannot act yourself.
Email info@literatusacademy.com, message or call us, or visit our office. We may ask you to contact us from the phone number you gave us, so we know the request is really from you. We aim to reply within 30 days and will always reply within 90 days.
If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
9. Students under 18
If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to send the enquiry for you, or to contact us with you.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your details, we will update this page and the date at the top.
